Elite1 MMA Proudly Presents “Decade of Destruction” on April 27th. at the Casino N-B.

This Weekend  Elite 1 MMA Productions celebrates their 10th year Anniversary. April 27th. the promotions is going back to the Casino, New Brunswick with another card “Decade of Destruction” this card features 13 fights including four titles fight, for the Main event Shawn Wallace of Pointe du chene, N-B will be facing Dee Logue of Woodstock, N-B for the Elite1 MMA vacant “Lightweight” Title.

In 2009, Elite 1 MMA was promoted by Brothers Steven Williams and Mike Williams. In 2012, Mike Williams became the new Elite 1 MMA promoter along with his wife Liette Williams. Steven Williams moved on to promoting his own promotion called Canadian Extreme Cage Rage (CECR). The first show of Canadian Extreme Cage Rage (CECR) was in June. 2011. (CECR 1) Mike Kent vs. Alderic Keith … The last show (CECR) “Unfinished Business” on Aug.29, 2015. Jerico MacPhee vs. Scoobey Jay.

In fall of 2013, New Brunswick tapped out all combat sports. To host events was now illegal. After 16 months of no combat sports new commission was formed.  An Act to amend the Criminal Code (prize fights), received Royal Assent on June 19, 2013. The Commission came with a new key role in the application of the Combat Sport Act and Regulations that came into force on November 1, 2014. The new Act now expands the list of permitted exceptions to the “prize fight” offence for amateur combative sports that are on the program of the International Olympic Committee (Boxing, Wrestling, Judo and Taekwondo), as well as authorizes provinces to regulate specific contests including professional Boxing and Mixed martial arts (MMA). The New Brunswick combat sport commission (NBCSC) was formed in January 2015 with the first event in March. The first event was called, Elite 1 MMA: “THE AWAKENING” on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at The Casino New Brunswick, Moncton, N-B.

First let’s talk about the Elite 1 MMA first event “To seek and destroy” on April 11th. 2009. at Tim Horton’s 4-Ice Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. Johnny “SHOWTIME” Roscoe vs. Phil St.Pierre.
