Interview with Christien “THE TIGER” Savoie (Video)

Hi everyone !!! On June 24th 2018, SCN went on a road trip to St- John and meet up with former Elite1 MMA Middleweight Champion, Christien “THE TIGER” Savoie and alongside his training Instructor Kelly. It Was nice to capture the interview on video. Savoie wanted to talk about his carrer with E1 MMA. “THE TIGER” advised SCN he would like to fight one more time before the end of 2018. Savoie would like to fight at 170Lbs weight division, Not because he wants to prove anything but because he finds that he is too small for the 185Lbs weight division. It’s been Clearly stated from the 25 years old warrior, captured in the interview that it has been previously discussed between him and Professor Kelly why he wanted to go down to the 170Lbs weight division weeks before the UFC was announced, that will be held in Moncton on Oct. 27 2018 at the SMG Moncton events centre.

Sorry if you cannot clearly hear me in the video. There are many questions that were asked but most importantly, We can hear very clearly what Savoie has to say to the viewers and his fans. Savoie Advises SCN that the middleweight title has been Vacant and also the Welterweight title, so whoever will fight in that category; the winner of this fight would walk away with one of these titles.

Savoie first pro fight was at 170Lbs. In the interview he goes on to explain why he choose to fight at the 185Lbs division. We asked Savoie why he thinks pro fighters are having such a hard time to make the weight cut, Savoie states his opinion as to why, on the captured interview.

Savoie gets a lot of support from his family, Girlfriend, fan’s and also from his training Instructor Kelly. “Christien is really smart. He doesnt want to go too far too fast. He wants to go step by step. He is so well rounded and a great student of mma. He is the future of the sport and a great ambassador for mma.  I want to do anything i can for him because is really on the right path to follow his dreams”. Stated by his Professor Kelly
